1. Only talk about yourself. lt gets boring.
2. Schedule a meeting immediately. A networking event should not be used as a place to plan your calendar.
3. Monopolize others' time. Be considerate and spend no more than five minutes with each person.
4. Name Drop. Bragging about people you know might turn others off.
5. Interrupt conversations. No one likes it! Wait your turn.
6. Ask personal questions. lf you just met the person it shows poor judgment.
7. Hand out your business cards to everyone as they pass by. You should only be giving your cards to people with whom you have actually had a conversation.
8. Tell Inappropriate jokes or use offensive language. Remember your image is everything.
